The Mission of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association (“CIPLA”)’s Amicus Curiae Committee (the “Committee”) is as follows:

a)      To provide amicus assistance to the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court, and other courts in cases that present issues of importance to IP rights holders, IP attorneys, and/or the IP community as a whole, and to do so in a manner that is consistent with CIPLA policy and complements CIPLA's public policy advocacy initiatives.

b)      To strive for improvements in the application of intellectual property laws by the courts and government agencies in a fashion that fulfills their Constitutionally-mandated objectives.

c)      To serve as an important representative of CIPLA in the courts, in the media, and in the IP community.

d)     To maintain and enhance CIPLA’s productivity and impact on the IP community.
