"The European Patent System, Tips for U.S. Applicants." Presented by Albert Keyack, European Patent Office Attaché to the United States. A general overview of the EPO and its procedures will be provided along with recent developments on specific topics such as Early Certainty from Search, PCT Direct, and tips for shortening the patent granting procedure. An update on the Unitary Patent, the Unified Patent Court and the impact of Brexit will also be discussed.
