Attorney Walters focuses his practice on many phases of intellectual property law, with a special emphasis on inter partes matters before the PTAB, and in federal courts representing clients in well over one hundred inter partes matters. He has worked on all types of technologies, including matters in the biotechnology, chemical, electrical, mechanical, and pharmaceutical fields. Attorney Thomas G. Eschweiler, Eschweiler and Potashnik LLC
Attorney Eschweiler was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1997 and has been registered to practice before the USPTO since 1992. Prior to being in private practice, he worked at Texas Instruments as an engineer and then in the Patent Acquisition and Enforcement Activity group. His article Ford v. Lemelson and Continuing Application Laches, 79 J. Pat. & Trademark Office Soc’y 401 (1997) was relied on by the Federal Circuit in establishing the doctrine of prosecution laches in Symbol Technologies, Inc. v. Lemelson, 277 F.3d 1361 (Fed. Cir. 2002). In addition to his work representing clients, Attorney Eschweiler has been appointed a Special Master for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio for purposes of claim construction and other intellectual property issues.
