Topic: Ohio Invents’ Patent Pro Bono Program for Ohio & the USPTO Present When Ideas Take Flight: Invention & Innovation with Pete O’Neill
The United States Patent & Trademark Office and Ohio Invents’ Patent Pro Bono Program for Ohio are partnering with CIPLA to highlight invention in Ohio with keynote speaker, Pete O’Neill, while recognizing Ohio patent attorney volunteers and their firms/organizations for their contribution to pro bono work with financially under-resourced Ohio inventors with Ohio Invents’ USPTO Patent Pro Bono Program for Ohio.
Mr. O’Neill has a substantial career in healthcare and aerospace technology development and commercialization. He was Executive Director of Cleveland Clinic Innovations, where he managed a group of more than 45 professionals responsible for commercializing Cleveland Clinic’s IP portfolio. Previously he was CEO of the Cleveland Clinic spin-off company Custom Orthopaedic Solutions, and prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Mr. O’Neill held management positions in aerospace manufacturing and technology commercialization, including as Deputy Director of the Great Lakes Industrial Technology Center at NASA Glenn. Mr. O’Neill has a degree in aeronautical engineering from MIT.
Theodore C. Theofrastous, Ohio Invents’ Chairman and Partner at Kohrman Jackson & Krantz LLP, will be joined by representatives from the Elijah J. McCoy Midwest Regional United States Patent & Trademark Office to present awards and recognize local patent attorney volunteers as well as the firms/organizations that help champion this program.
Dinner Entrée Options:

Each entrée is accompanied by a salad and a seasonal cheesecake for dessert.
