Valet parking is available to CIPLA members for a discounted rate of $20 if you register for and prepay your parking with your registration. Parking vouchers will be available at the meeting registration table for those who prepay for valet parking.

Topic: Fireside Chat with Judge O'Malley (Ret.) and Judge Linn

Join us for a fireside chat with Judge Kathleen O'Malley (Ret.), Of Counsel at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP (visiting from Washington, D.C.), Judge Richard Linn, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (also visiting from Washington, D.C.), and moderator, Steven Auvil, Cleveland Managing Partner at Squire Patton Boggs

Judge O’Malley was a federal judge for more than 27 years, beginning at the Northern District of Ohio in Cleveland, and most recently serving on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She also previously served as first assistant and chief of staff to the Ohio Attorney General.

Judge Linn was sworn in as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on January 1, 2000. He assumed senior status on October 31, 201. While in private practice before being appointed to the bench, Judge Linn specialized in patent and intellectual property law.

The Kathleen M. O’Malley American Inn of Court was chartered in 2021 as a tribute to Judge O’Malley’s service. She has received accolades including the Sedona Conference “Lifetime Achievement Award,” the New Jersey Intellectual Property Law Association Jefferson Medal, the New York Intellectual Property Law Association “Outstanding Public Service Award,” the Intellectual Property Owners Association “Distinguished IP Professional Award” and the Eagle Forum Phyllis Schlafly “IP Champion Award.” She was also inducted into the IAM IP Hall of Fame by Intellectual Asset Management and was named a lifetime honorary member of the Association of Corporate Patent Counsel.

Dinner Entrée Options:

Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Parmesan Dauphinoise and asparagus
Seared Salmon with crispy fingerlings and haricot verts
Stuffed Bell Pepper Tagine (vegetarian) with cous cous and ratatouille

Each entrée is accompanied by a Bibb and Arugula Salad and Chocolate Raspberry Cake for dessert.
